Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit
The Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit was established in 1966. This is the leading department for training specialists in the field of «Accounting and taxation» of the «Bachelor’s» and «Master’s» degrees.
Head of the department is Honored Economist of Ukraine, Doctor of Economic Sciences, professor, Excellence in Education of Ukraine Ionin Yevhen.
High qualification level of the academic staff of the department is provided by basic education, which is supplemented by international accounting experience gained during foreign internships, advanced training at the Higher School of Entrepreneurship (Kyiv), Kyiv National University of Economics, Business School at the University of New Castle, Barcelona university, the University of Paris, the Institute of the Accounting Department of Scotland, the consulting center of Germany and Italy.
To increase professional level, lectors of the department participated in the European TACIS program, in seminars within the framework of projects of the World Bank, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), improve their professional knowledge at the Audit Chamber of Ukraine and the Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine.
The department was included among the best departments admitted to international accreditation and participation in the program of the United States Agency for International Development «Accounting Reforms in the Private Sector of Ukraine».
The department is one of the first which participated in the European program «Accounting and Auditing in Ukraine» TACIS.
At the department there are permanent professional training courses for the unemployed for the Donetsk Regional Employment Center in the direction of «Auditors and qualified accountants» (code 2411.2), professional development courses «Automation of business processes. Enterprise management and accounting».
History of the department
The history of the establishment and development of the department of accounting, analysis and audit begins with the opening of an educational and consulting center (branch) of the Kyiv Institute of National Economy in Donetsk. With the creation on the basis of this branch of Donetsk State University in 1966, the department of accounting and analysis of economic activity was organized as a structural subdivision of the Faculty of Economics.

Educational program “Digital accounting and taxation” (Bachelor’s degree)
The purpose of the educational program is to train highly qualified competitive specialists who act in accordance with ethical principles, freedom and integrity and possess deep fundamental knowledge and applied skills that will allow them, thanks to the formed competences in making effective flexible management decisions, to solve practical problems of accounting and tax administration using digital tools and technologies in the value paradigm of innovative changes.

Educational program “Аccounting and taxation” (Bachelor’s degree)
The purpose of the program is to train a competitive specialist who is able to solve complex specialized tasks with the help of innovative technologies and tools for accounting and tax administration, integrated into society and socially responsible for the results of professional activity.
A graduate of the educational program is able to hold positions in the field of management, accounting, control, analysis, taxation, economics, in particular, accountant, expert accountant, auditor, tax and duties consultant, economist in: accounting and analysis of economic activity, planning, logistics, taxes and fees, economic advisor, analyst, inspector-auditor, credit inspector, appraiser (expert appraisal of property).
Educational program “Accounting and taxation” (Master’s level of education)
The purpose of the educational program is to prepare a modern researcher in the field of accounting and taxation based on the formation of a set of competencies that provide an understanding of the patterns, dynamics, problems and prospects of the development of accounting systems in economic sectors and regions.
The master’s program “Accounting and Taxation” provides for the training of specialists who are able to organize and keep records at enterprises of all forms of ownership, to carry out accounting and tax administration, as well as to form financial and management reporting.
