SCIENTIFIC SCHOOLS

Scientific schools in the following areas have been established and successfully operate at the departments of the faculty:

• international economic relations (Department of International Economic Relations);
• accounting and analytical support of management of economic entities (Department of Accounting, Analysis and Auditing);
• mathematical methods, models and information technologies in economics (Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Methods in Economics);
• improvement of financial and credit mechanisms of national economy management (Department of Finance and Banking);
• economic mechanism of functioning of the industry of the region (Department of Entrepreneurship, Corporate and Spatial Economics);
• statistical methods of research of socio-economic and demographic processes (Department of Business Statistics and Economic Cybernetics);
• research of modern problems of management (Department of Management and Behavioral Economics);
• personnel management and labor economics (Department of Management and Behavioral Economics).

TRAINING OF SCIENTIFIC STAFF

The faculty is actively training highly qualified scientific personnel – doctors and candidates of economic sciences (doctors of philosophy).

Postgraduate studies are licensed in three specialties:

• 051 Economics (graduate department – management and behavioral economics);
• 056 (292) International Economic Relations (Graduate Department – International Economic Relations);
• 073 Management (Graduate Department – Management and Behavioral Economics)

Specialized Academic Council D 11.051.03 (Chairman of the Council – Doctor of Economics, Prof. Orekhova TV) for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Candidate and Doctor of Economics worked in 2016-2019 in three specialties:

• 08.00.02 “World Economy and International Economic Relations”
• 08.00.04 “Economics and management of enterprises (by type of economic activity)”
• 08.00.07 “Demography, labor economics, social economy and politics”.

In December 2019, the council was re-registered for a new term with the right to accept dissertations in the following specialties:

08.00.02 “World Economy and International Economic Relations”
08.00.07 “Demography, labor economics, social economy and politics”.
08.00.08 “Money, finance and credit”

As of 01.09. In 2020 in the postgraduate and doctoral studies of the faculty were trained:

• 4 doctoral students;
• 39 graduate students.

During the period 2017-2020, the dissertation was defended by 14 graduate students and teachers of the Faculty of Economics, including 2 doctoral dissertations.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES

The faculty annually holds scientific events for students:

• International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists “Management of Socio-Economic Systems: Globalization, Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Economic Growth” (2014-2019);
• All-Ukrainian scientific conference of students, graduate students and young scientists “Problems of socio-economic systems in the national and global economy” (2015-2020).

On the basis of the Department of Management and Behavioral Economics in 2014-2019, the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty “Personnel Management and Labor Economics” was held.

Innovations were scientific activities supported by the student government of the faculty:

• Intellectual competition of students of the faculty “What? Where? When?”
• Intellectual competition of students of the Faculty of Economics “The smartest”.

In May 2019, the faculty became a co-organizer of the international scientific-practical conference “Science, Education, Society: Realities, Challenges, Prospects”, which was held at DonNU named after Vasyl Stus.

Researchers of the faculty take an active part in scientific events of various levels both in Ukraine and abroad.

COUNCIL OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS OF THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS

The Faculty of Young Scientists of the Faculty of Economics has been established and works effectively at the faculty – an organization that unites students, graduate students, young teachers and scientists on a voluntary basis and aims to promote creative self-realization of young scientists in research. The Council consists of young scientists from different departments of the faculty:

3. Dubel Mykhailo Volodymyrovych – applicant of the third level of higher education, specialty 292 International Economic Relations (Department of International Economic Relations);
4. Rudenok Olga Oleksandrivna – candidate of the third level of higher education, specialty 051 Economics (Department of Finance and Banking);
5. Stavska Kateryna Anatoliivna – applicant of the second level of higher education, specialty 072 Finance, Banking and Insurance (Department of Finance and Banking);
6. Shatkivska Alina Serhiivna – applicant of the second level of higher education, specialty 051 Economics (Department of Economic and Management Analytics);
7. Vytyaganets Inna Mykolayivna – applicant of the first level of higher education, specialty 076 Entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activities (Department of Entrepreneurship, Corporate and Spatial Economics);
8. Zemlyakova Olga Dmitrievna – applicant of the first level of higher education, specialty 075 Marketing (Department of Marketing);
9. Kushnir Ilona Valeriyivna – candidate of the first level of higher education, specialty 051 Economics (Department of Entrepreneurship, Corporate and Spatial Economics).

SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF STUDENTS
