Development of student science:

     Students of the Faculty of Economics take an active part in olympiads (in academic disciplines and specialties), competitions of scientific papers of various levels (international, all-Ukrainian, local, etc.). Such activity covers a large number of higher education graduates of the first and second educational levels. The quarantine announced in mid-March of this year introduced certain adjustments – mass scientific events in face-to-face format were canceled (II round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiads in disciplines and specialties) or transferred to a remote format (II round of scientific work competitions, scientific conferences, etc.). 

In the current year, students of the faculty took part in and won the following scientific competitions: 

• VI International competition of student scientific works “Credit and banking system: history, modernity and development prospects” (diploma for 2nd place);
• International competition of scientific works and creative projects of students and postgraduates in the field of IT application (Karaganda, Kazakhstan) (diploma for 1st and 3rd places);
• International competition “Black Sea Science 2020” (diploma for 2nd place); 
• All-Ukrainian competition of scientific papers in the specialty “Marketing” (diploma of the 1st degree); 
• All-Ukrainian competition of scientific works in the specialty “UPEP” (diploma of the 2nd degree); 
• All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty “Finance and Credit” (III degree diploma); 
• Competition of student diploma theses in the specialty “Marketing” (diploma of the first degree), etc..  

     In March 2020, on the basis of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Spatial and Corporate Economics, it was planned to hold the II round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the discipline “Enterprise Economics”, and in April – to hold the Open Student Olympiad in Economic Theory in 2019-2020. These measures have been postponed to the period after the end of the quarantine.

    It is traditional for our students to participate in the “CFA Institute Research Challenge” international student investment research competition, the faculty team became a participant in the semi-finals. Since 2017, student teams of the faculty have been participating in the International Student Business Game “Corporation of Ideas” (Kharkov). This year, the faculty team received a diploma for third place. 

    A team of students majoring in Marketing (A. Vovkolup, A. Denisova, A. Polishchuk and K. Lyubynchak) under the leadership of Associate Professor N.Yu Buga. received a II degree diploma at the 11th national festival of social advertising (Kyiv, October 24, 2019).
